Recent Niagara wines

A couple of excellent Niagara wines from the past few weeks:

Henry of Pelham - 2006 Riesling Reserve

I found this had all the elements I look for in a dry Riesling - a nice fruity nose, good acidity and length - and definitely DRY. Relatively low ABV at 12.0% - and attractively priced at about $15.

Featherstone - 2005 Cabernet Franc

One of the best early drinking Cab Francs I've had from Niagara - or anywhere for that matter. No real hint of the greenness of some CFs from this region - but not overly soft. Good structure, spiciness and length. Great at $19.95 as this wine is as good as or better than the Cab Francs I've had from Laileys adn Daniel Lenko for $25-$35! Get this wine now - it will sell out fast.
